Learning Objectives

The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

The goal of this conference, consistent with the ASCP Educational Affairs goal, is to enhance participant knowledge and competencies in providing pharmaceutical care to elderly individuals as part of the interdisciplinary team, which results in their improved health and well-being. Knowledge, competencies, and needs in the following general areas will be enhanced:

  • Optimal medication therapy management
  • Patient safety and treatment efficacy
  • Participant knowledge of legal, regulatory, business practice, and related issues
  • Participant educational needs for meeting re-licensure requirements

Target Audience

This conference's educational activity is designed for pharmacists who care for older adults. Other health care professionals are encouraged to attend ASCP's continuing education activities.
